All Iroko external staircases are supplied in the raw (untreated) as standard.
As Iroko is a naturally oily hardwood, it offers good resistance to the elements — but to maximise lifespan and maintain appearance, we strongly recommend applying a suitable UV-resistant oil or wood treatment before and after installation.

Regular maintenance is advised depending on exposure levels. This may include:

Re-applying oil or sealant periodically

Cleaning to remove dirt or algae buildup

Inspecting for weathering or movement over time

If you’d like the staircase pre-oiled, this can be arranged as an optional service at an additional cost.
